Originally published in 1980, this book contains the proceedings from a memorial conference held in honour of George A. Talland, who made a significant contribution to the area of memory and aging. The major objective of the volume was to stimulate research towards a more comprehensive understanding of age related differences in memory. It was also hoped it would provide direction for the application and utilization of research findings in the evaluation and treatment of memory complaints and memory difficulties experienced by the elderly. The book was intended for two broad groups of scientists. The first being researchers in the psychology of memory, and those who were currently active in the research on aging at the time. The second group was those concerned with applying current research findings to the diagnosis and treatment of problems of memory.

"In Glory Revealed, the author establishes the fundamental scriptural principles associated with the relationship between God, His Glory and born-again believers. Hidden in the Word, key scriptures point the way towards a new revelation of the knowledge of God's Glory. Whether these scriptures have been ignored or overlooked, their power and authority are indisputable. Written in a simple, readable way, filled with personal testimonies, Glory Revealed opens a doorway to understanding this great gift which we received from Jesus, Himself-the Glory of God " -From FORWARD to Glory Revealed "Most people get answers to prayer, but they are actually faith accidents They have no idea why their prayer was answered then, and not answered other times." -Larry Thompson Larry Thompson was saved in 1974, and, for almost forty years, has taught and discipled other believers. He is a gifted and anointed teacher who instructs prophetically. An ordained minister, he recently began holding seminars in which he teaches on the knowledge of the Glory of God. He also has two Facebook pages (Streams of Glory and Glory Proficiency Symposium) which have been translated into over 30 languages.
How should the US military structure its forces to provide the NCA an on-call, sustainable, and responsive airpower force worldwide? This analysis concludes the answer is to reorganize existing forces into a Quick Response Airpower Force (QRAF). The QRAF concept involves a force structure that can help reduce the operations tempo in the DOD by replacing forward presence with a credible continental United States-based, quick response, deterrent force. This group of forces can be tailored to the unpredictable challenges of the future.
Major Thompson examines the question: How should the US military structure its forces to provide the National Command Authorities an on-call, sustainable, and responsive airpower force worldwide? He provides an in-depth background, discusses the problem and its importance, related problems, past attempts at solutions, and offers a framework to reorganize existing forces into a Quick Response Airpower Force (QRAF). Major Thompson gives recommendations for further study; but he contends that this QRAF concept involves a force structure that can help by replacing forward presence with a credible continental United States-based, quick response deterrent force, which can be tailored to the unpredictable challenges of the future.
This book is fictional comedy about two angels that receive a message from God, telling them that they have to return to Earth. The older angel is wiser and more experienced and is sent to help his partner with supervision and companionship through their ordeal. In their journey to Earth they travel to different cities in search of the younger angels people contacts that he has to get reacquainted with. One problem is how to recognize these same people after years past. If he finds his contacts he has to decide how to go about mending past circumstances and occurrences for the mischievous activities he played on people when he was alive and on Earth. In their travels to Earth the younger angel recalls people, and situations and he has to make amends in order to become a full-fledged angel. He has a series of flashbacks, and recollections and he tries to overcome his past, and make it good in the present time, after he arrives back on Earth.
When the final accounting is done one day, we will learn that God's "hidden heroes" on earth far outnumbered the famous men and women whose names are more easily recognizable. Of course, the fact that some are briefly mentioned in the Bible reminds us that God affirmed their unique contribution to His kingdom. Though not entirely unsung, they moved on a different and smaller stage than that of those Biblical characters like King David and the Apostle Paul.
Collections of Campfire Stories created by the author and presented to satisfied listeners across the south.

Learn about the key issues when assessing and treating older adults with mental health problems: Expert guidance through the key topics Highlights the best assessment and treatment practices Addresses diversity, ethical, and health system issues Full of real-life case examples Resources in the appendix to test your knowledge Mental health practitioners are encountering an ever-growing number of older adults and so an up-to-date and comprehensive text addressing the special considerations that arise in the psychological assessment and treatment of this population is vital. This accessible handbook does just that by introducing the key topics that psychologists and other health professionals face when working with older adults. Each area is introduced and then the special considerations for older adults are explored, including specific ethical and healthcare system issues. The use of case examples brings the topics further to life. An important feature of the book is the interweaving of diversity issues (culture, race, sexuality, etc.) within the text to lend an inclusive, contemporary insight into these important practice components. The Pikes Peak Geropsychology Knowledge and Skill Assessment Tool is included in an appendix so readers can test their knowledge, which will be helpful for those aiming for board certification in geropsychology (ABGERO). This an ideal text for clinical psychologists transitioning to work with older clients, for those wanting to improve their knowledge for their regular practice, and for trainees or young clinicians just starting out.
